Child loses custody battle

After months of heated deliberations and court hearings, the custody battle between Richard Watkins and Michelle Driver ended when the judge awarded custody to Mr. Watkins, officially declaring his son, Blake, as the true loser of the entire situation.

The decision came Thursday afternoon despite multiple testimonies from the younger Watkins that his father is “the absolute worst person I can think of to raise me.”

“I love my father, but he doesn’t have any of the tools to raise me in the right way,” he said. “No Netflix, no Hulu Plus, no HBO Go, nothing. How can you say that kind of environment is good for me to grow up in?”

Despite Blake’s objections to the decision, the judge awarded custody to his father, a man who has been known and accused of supporting “outside physical activities rather than television” and other lame ideas about parenthood. The decision drew outward criticism from many relatives who believe the decision may harm the younger Watkins permanently.

“It’s really sad,” Adam Watkins, Blake’s uncle, said. “Blake will have no way of keeping up with ‘Orange is the New Black’ or any of the other breakout hits from premier video streaming services. He will be such a loser at school and all his classmates will hate him.

“I know I would,” he added.

Blake was noticeably distraught speaking with journalists.

“I don’t care about my parent’s marriage,” he said. “I care about whether or not Jon Snow will ever avenge Ned Stark. It shouldn’t matter that my mom sold all my belongings for pot money. I still had HBO Go.”
