Eichorst physically supporting Riley when knees get weak

When Riley wobbled, Shawn Eichorst was there. He would run over and hold him up. “I just let him use me like an exoskeleton,” Eichorst explained. During the Michigan State game, Eichorst could be seen walking the sidelines staring at head coach Mike Riley.

Eichorst addressed the press on Sunday morning after the Huskers big win over Michigan State.

“I like him,” Eichorst began. “He’s a big sweetie and the right man for the job.”

Eichorst and Riley’s relationship is far different than Eichorst and Pelini’s.

“I wouldn’t even let Pelini sit on my lap,” said Eichorst, “He always was mean to me.”

Riley sat next to Eichorst and they exchanged quick glances. “He’s very well moisturized and has wonderful skin,” Riley said. “He has such strong forearms.”

During the press conference Eichorst explained that he supports Coach Riley in everything he does.

“I will do everything that Mikey needs,” Eichorst said, “even when his knees buckle.”

Coach Riley said he needs the support and now can focus on the game 100% of the time.

“I don’t need to keep thinking about my weak knees,” said Riley, “We went three and six when I was thinking about my knees.”

Knees aside, Eichorst’s human exoskeleton system has brought the Huskers a win over a top ten ranked team. “I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon,” said Eichorst, “He just needs my support.”
