When Lincoln resident Mike Dunhill clicked on the link to a video titled “Gangnam Catwoman Style,” he had no idea the direction his life was about to take.
After watching the fan-made parody video, Dunhill had concerns. He decided to post a comment reading, “Catwoman dosnt [sic] look that hot.”
Within minutes, the comment received dozens of thumbs downs and was eventually marked as spam, but not before user “xX420blazeitXx” replied to Dunhill’s comment, saying he was likely “a massive gayboy.”
“I read that comment and just sat there,” said Dunhill, who is married. “And I knew he was right. I am a massive gayboy. How I never realized that before is beyond me.”
Dunhill said he gathered his family, which includes two young daughters and a teenage son, to tell them the news.
“My daughters didn’t really understand what it means,” he said. “My wife didn’t believe me. My son called me names and laughed. I knew I had to tell them, though. It was the right thing to do,” he added.
Since his revelation, Dunhill has divorced his wife, giving her custody of the children in the process, and started looking for new love.
“It’s exciting, really,” Dunhill said. “Everyday I wake up and thank my lucky stars that I was able to discover who I am.
“I guess I miss my kids sometimes, though,” he added.
When asked about how he felt about helping Dunhill out, xX420blazeitXx was blunt.
“Well, that’s gay.”
