Review: The Silence of the Fans

“The Silence of the Fans” starts out during a Saturday night under the lights at Memorial Stadium, with the Nebraska Cornhuskers facing the terrifying Wisconsin Badgers. To everyone’s surprise, the 1997 national championship team comes out for the tunnel walk to enormous applause. When I thought we were going to have a good team, the regular Husker team suddenly came out of the tunnel, which was definitely too spooky for me.

All seemed to be getting better as Nebraska received the kickoff and mounted an impressive first drive, backed by immense crowd cheers. Then, out of nowhere, Hannibal Lecter picks off Tanner Lee’s pass and returns it for a touchdown. Silence set over the stadium. Horror and dread set in just minutes into the game. For anyone looking for a real spook, “The Silence of the Fans” definitely delivers!
