George Lucas Releases New Edition of Conflict Where Hamas Shot First

When news of Disney purchasing the right to the “Star Wars” franchise first broke, many wondered if another Star Wars re-release could be in the works. So the news of yet another George Lucas special edition filled with minor tweaks should come as a shock to few, but the film’s topicality may stir controversy. Pockets loaded with 4 billion dollars after his Disney Deal, George Lucas has decided to re-release the recent Israel-Hamas Gaza conflict with some small changes that he promises will please fans.

Many of these changes, such as adding more attractive dead civilians and changing the soldiers’ guns to walkie-talkies, have been positively received. Unfortunately for Lucas, a newly-edited scene in which Hamas shoots Israel first has proven disastrous.

Lucas explained that he was originally drawn to the project due to its rich lore of ancient religious conflicts and cinematic battles, with compelling characters on each side of the divide. There was only one stumbling block for Lucas. “The whole Middle Eastern conflict thing is so cinematic, you know, but there’s not really any obvious good guys or bad guys. It’s all a little too ambiguous for my tastes. So I decided to go back and re-make this conflict the way I’ve always envisioned it, with a clear-cut hero and villain,” stated Lucas.

Lucas went on to assure fans that this was only the beginning of the possible changes he envisioned for the conflict. As long as there remains deep-seated strife between the Israeli and Palestinian people, Lucas will be tweaking CGI kippahs and filming additional scenes where Prime Minister Netanyahu uses his hands to punch a missile out of the sky.

In response to fan claims that he had once again figuratively destroyed a part of their childhood, Lucas showed a scene from the conflict where a Middle Eastern boy literally loses a part of his childhood to a missile strike. He ended the horrifying clip by reminding fans that thanks to new technology, the conflict would be made appropriate for all ages and that copies of “Gaza Wars Episode I: Pillar of Defense” would make a fantastic Hanukkah gift.
