Lincoln Calling 2014 has come and gone, and what a festival it was. Stellar and unique performances filled every night of the six day music festival, and after the dust has settled from audiences rushing from music venue to music venue, all we have left is to reminisce about how much fun we had and, most importantly, what our favorite moments of the festival were. We at Seeds attended many shows in the past week, and after a long deliberation we agreed that one performance stood out to us most. Therefore, Seeds would like to nominate Chicago’s Sidewalk Chalk for our highly unofficial “Performance of Lincoln Calling 2014” award. Sidewalk Chalk scintillated audiences with their soulful blend of funk, jazz and hip-hop, accompanied by talented acts AZP, Freakabout and Thirst Things First.
