Lincoln went all out tonight: In his first sold out show of his tour, Hoodie Allen rocked the Bourbon.

He mixed, he rapped and he even played some down to earth acoustic. Hoodie Allen showed the crowd tonight that he is a Jack-of-all-trades. Not only did he have everyone jumping and pumping to his beats but he also showed that he could do some guitar-accompanied covers to Justin Timberlake songs. He played old favorites to appease long time fans and newer, more popular songs that anyone could pick out. I would say the best part about Hoodie Allen’s music is the rapping he does over radio-famous and well-known songs that give every person in the audience something to relate to.

Throughout the concert, Hoodie took many pictures on stage, in the crowd and with fans. At one point, in a brief intermission, he moved to the back of the Bourbon and played a few songs in the middle of the crowd. He gave everyone an all-around experience–not just the dedicated fans that waited in line from 4 a.m. to be front row.

But even more exciting was mid-way through the concert when he grabbed a blow up boat to dive in and crowd surf over the crowd. I’ve never been to a concert where someone was so involved and excited to be in the city he was in. I don’t know if any performer but Hoodie Allen would start a “GO BIG RED” cheer.

Overall, with a slew of concerts under my belt, Hoodie Allen was one of the best (if not the best) concerts I’ve been too.  He played a plentiful set, was grateful for the fans, and showed me why he plays a sold out show. I was just as into the atmosphere as he was. Even though it was a Sunday night, the Bourbon was packed, and Hoodie Allen absolutely killed it!
