The average person would assume that the commotion going on at 13th & E St. on February 22nd would be the normal crowd of people that show up to Runza’s Temperature Tuesday promotion, but that is only half true. On that day, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey was at that very location taking part in that very promotion.
Ramsay, 55, is a chef from the UK most well known for his TV performances that highlight his colorful and creative vocabulary. He also operates several luxury restaurants that bear his name. After eating the fast food bread pocket, Ramsay had this to say: “Now normally I don’t bother with the yankee-dankey shite you filthy Americans have the audacity to call food, but this is something different. Most fast food makes a mess on par with a dirty bomb, but the enclosed and hand-held nature of a Runza makes that a thing of the past. Quite frankly, I love it.”
After finishing his meal Ramsay contacted the president of the company Donald Everett Jr. and had this to say, “That was the single best thing I have ever eaten in this shit hole of a country. I would be honored if I could buy the rights to sell this at my restaurants. I know that you guys had some issues when you tried to expand to Latvia in the 90’s, but with me we can make this shit the next beef wellington.”
