In a decisive victory for skeletons and skelesexual people throughout the country, the United States Supreme Court has voted 5-4 to overturn a federal ban on skeletal marriage.
In what some consider to be the most terrifying day imaginable, skeletons across the country have taken to the streets to celebrate the court’s decision. This landmark decision comes after weeks of nationwide protest by skeletons and skelesexuals, to demand the right for skeletons to marry other skeletons and actual living people.
Though it may be hard to fathom why anyone would want to marry something as pants-shittingly terrifying as a skeleton, the court’s decision comes at a time of strained relations between the skeleton and “meatbag” communities. Recently, Congress approved the Spooky Skeleton Registration Act, requiring all skeletons, human or animal, to register with the federal government as Spooky Citizens. Many Skeletons and their supporters consider the Act to be a huge step backward for interskeletal relations.
Many opponents of Skeletal marriage argue that being raised by a skeleton would have a negative impact on children. They say that living in constant, overwhelming terror may not be the best way for a child to grow up. Studies on children living in Skeleton households have been inconclusive.
In unrelated news, The United States Skeleton Court recently voted to uphold the ban on gay marriage.
