Sen. Deb Fischer sat down for an exclusive interview with The DailyER to talk about her some of her latest thoughts on Italian food. With elections coming up, she believes it is more important now than ever to discuss her favorite cheesy bread and her fears regarding pasta.
“Some of my deepest, darkest fears and secrets are linked to a bad night of rotini and linguine,” Fischer said. “I still have nightmares about spaghetti to this day, and the last time I walked into Olive Garden they had to call in a couple priests to come save me.”
Is a candidate that fears these carb-heavy noodles the best fit to represent Nebraska in the Senate? If her fears of pasta scare the voting public, her opinions on cheesy bread might sway some undecided voters.
“I sleep on cheesy bread pillows, and my blankets are constructed from leftover garlic bread crumbs pasted together by my personal chef, Bjorn,” Fischer said, chowing down on a piece of New York Bakery® Five Cheese Texas Toast. “I have breadsticks delivered to my house by the gross. That’s a whole 12 dozen; 144 sticks of sweet, sweet garlic bread every Thursday delivered right to my bedroom window.”
With her stances on cheesy and garlic bread, Fischer hopes to regain the trust of Nebraskans this midterm.
