Sophomore invests in planner, world starts to glow

Sophomore engineering major Mariah Harvey had never seen the world the same way before.

After a quick visit to Wal-Mart and investing 98 cents on a bright pink planner, the sun started to glow a little brighter.

“It was crazy,” Harvey said. “I wish I would have known about the power of a planner before I turned 20.”

Harvey’s friend, senior biochemistry major Katie Flannigan said she understands where Harvey is coming from.

“The first time I bought a planner is engrained into my mind,” she said. “There’s nothing quite like it.”

Flannigan said she began filling out a planner after her second semester freshman year’s GPA left her squandering for points.

“I had a 1.6 GPA,” Flannigan said. “After I bought my planner, it bumped me to a 2.0.”

Harvey said she is excited to experience the same miracle.

“I don’t know if I will fill it out or use it,” she said. “But having it around is honestly comforting.”
