Nebraska manages to give up 56 points to Ohio State during spring game

Every Husker football fan’s favorite day is here: Spring Game Saturday. Serving as an opportunity to see the team’s progress through spring training, the spring game is heavily attended by those itching to get into Memorial Stadium and watch some good ole fashioned Nebraska football in action. However, what was supposed to be a fun and enjoyable game turned into another nightmare as the Red and White squads somehow managed to give up 56 points to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

“I paid $600 to see Frost’s debut and THIS is how they show out? ” said die-hard Husker football fan Kenny Livingston, after the game. “I guess the guys are still getting used to the new system. But c’mon, 56 points AGAIN? It’s a good thing my wife and I left at halftime like last year. At least we beat the traffic on our way home.”

Head football coach Scott Frost commented on the team’s performance following their embarrassing loss. “I can’t believe what I just watched,” said Coach Frost. “We spent hours upon hours watching film and nothing we did could stop them. I was about ready to just throw on a jersey and go out there myself. Looks like Nebraska has traded a tradition of winning championships for a tradition of getting beat down by Ohio State every year.”

Nebraska Athletics Director Bill Moos said he was disappointed in how the team performed during the spring game. “I’m at a loss for words,” said Moos. “I was so excited to get Frost in here at the end of last season. He was finally supposed to lead us to back to the promised land: a conference championship and, eventually, the College Football Playoff. Looks like he’s leading us straight back to the Foster Farms Bowl.”
