After one viewing of “The Wolf of Wall Street,” student changes major to business

According to The DailyER stat-making-up machine, 75 percent of students will change their major before they graduate, and senior architecture major Jacob Reinhardt has finally become a statistic.

During his weekly movie viewing with his roommates on Friday night, Reinhardt’s friend and business major, Richard Johnson recommended they watch the 2013 classic “The Wolf of Wall Street.” This surprised and put fear into Reinhardt’s heart, as Reinhardt had never seen the movie.

After three spiritual hours, Reinhardt came to a deeply spiritual realization. He needed to change his major from architecture to business and follow in Jordan Belfort’s (Leonardo DiCaprio) footsteps and become the most successful stockbroker in history.

Reinhardt saw the wonderful lifestyle of Belfort and realized he wanted to do all that and more. He realized that he could start his own stockbroking company in his apartment and immediately become corrupted while committing large amounts of fraud.

While still in awe of the wonderful life of Swiss bank accounts, drugs and prostitution, Reinhardt was reminded by Johnson about the fact of all of that being illegal. “I just told Jake that he would go to jail for like… forever,” Johnson told The DailyER.

“What Richard told me was scary, dude, like super scary, man. Like I wanted to do what Leo did in that movie and like do it better, but now, man, I don’t know. I don’t want the FBI to catch me and throw me in prison forever. Honestly, I just wanted to bang Margot Robbie,” Reinhardt told The DailyER.

Reinhardt is still changing his major, but with a focus on accounting rather than stock brokering.
